Vice Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Winfred Osei Kwaku has predicted a very difficult job for whoever becomes Ghana’s next coach.
According to the Tema Youth Bank roller, the next Black Stars coach will have challenging times because Avram Grant as “jeopardized” the country’s 2018 World Cup chances.
The former Chelsea boss coached the Black Stars in two World Cup qualifying games, against Uganda and Egypt. He drew goalless with the Cranes of Uganda in Ghana before losing 2-0 to Egypt in Alexandria Egypt.
The results leave the Black Stars in third position in Group E with just a point, five adrift leaders Egypt.
This Mr. Osei Kwaku believes will be difficult for any coach to turnaround.
The Ghana Football Association whose contract ended in February after failing to win Ghana its fifth Nations Cup trophy both at Equatorial Guinea 2015 and Gabon 2017.
“I can tell you, the job of the next Black Stars coach will be very challenging because of the situation Avram Grant has put us through”, He told Accra based Atinka FM.
“He (Grant) has jeopardized our World Cup chances and will be difficult for any coach who takes over the Black Stars to be able to navigate his way through”.
