Gladson Awako is expected to rejoin his Hearts of Oak teammates by the close of next week, his agent Yussif Chibsah has revealed.
The playmaker took some time off to resolve some personal issues that has to to do with his psychological strength. The club subsequently confirmed this with an official release.
As a result, the former Great Olympics captained missed the Phobian’s African opener against CI Kamsar of Guinea (a game Hearts of Oak won by 2-0 in Accra).
“Awako is getting better and by the close of next week we hope that he resume training at Hearts of Oak. He i still their player contrary to what has been said elsewhere.” Yussif Chibsah told Kumasi-based Ashh FM.
Hearts of Oak are set to welcome Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club of Casablanca at the Accra Sports Stadium for the first leg of the CAF Champions League Second Round on October 15th.
