Gladson Awako will soon re-start training with Hearts of Oak and this is according to his representative Yussif Chibsah.
The player joined the Ghana champions in August 2021 and was largely expected to prominently feature in their African campaign but he stopped training ahead of the CI Kamsar Champions League game on September 19th and according to the club it was due to some personal issues faced by the former TP Mazembe midfielder.
Meanwhile according to Great Olympics Chief Executive Officer Oluboi Commodore , Awako must return to the club immediately after Hearts of Oak defaulted.
“We had an agreement with Hearts of Oak and they wanted to pay 50 percent. the first installment was paid on the 13th September”, he told Happy FM. The second installment was to be paid on October 2. In the agreement, it was said if they fail to pay the money the agreement is nullified or terminated which was signed by Vincent Sowah Odotei.
He is currently an Olympics player and must return to us now. Any amount paid is not refundable. We were demanding all the amount from Hearts of Oak before we release the player because we knew this would happen”. Great Olympics Chief Executive Officer Oluboi Commodore is quoted to have told Happy FM.
But Yussif Chibsah reveals contrary speaking to Ashh FM : ” Hearts of Oak management and technical team and the family of the player are in talks and the situation of the player is getting better. Soon he will start training with Hearts of Oak again. I have seen the statement of Oluboi Commodore. The fact is that the contract of Awako and Hearts of Oak is not terminated. His contract with Hearts of Oak is not same as that between Hearts of Oak and Olympics. This must be stated clear” Chibsah said.
