Black Stars deputy captain Andre Ayew has equaled Asamoah Gyan’s record at the Africa Cup of Nations after scoring in the team’s 2-1 victory over DR Congo on Sunday.
The West Ham United forward scored the match-winner from the spot kick to increase his goal tally at the Cup of Nations to eight goals.
Andrew who made his Nations Cup debut for the Ghana in 2008 when Ghana hosted the tournament had netted seven goals in the competition prior to the game against DR Congo.
