Andre Ayew joined West Ham from Premier League side Swansea City in the summer of 2016 after a serie of impressive displays for the Welsh side in the 2015/2016 campaigne.
Reports in the British media suggests that, the Hammers had to pay the Swans a transfer fee of £20.5 million in order to secure the services of the Ghana international.
However, that investment is yet to yeild resuld as the former Marseille man has only manged to score just one goal and created four chances in 12 Premier League outings so far this season.
Ayew picked up an injury on his debut for Westham against London rivals Chelsea on the opening day of the season and that has has prevented him from playing regularly for the Hammers this season.
Perhaps West Ham fans will not see the best of the former Marseille star in the final months of the season, but he is certainly going to be a hugely important player for Slaven Bilic’s side during the 2017-18 campaign.
