AZ Alkmaar coach Arne Slot is confident Ghanaian striker Myron Boadu will stay at the club this summer despite interest from top clubs in Europe.
Boadu has been one of the young players in Europe that have seen him attract interest from clubs such as Newcastle United, Everton, and West Ham.
The 19-year-old scored an impressive 20 goals and provided eight assists in 39 games in all competitions for AZ Alkmaar.
He has since been a prime target of most European clubs who are seeking to strengthen their attacking force.
However, coach Arne Slot expects him to stay in the Dutch Eredivisie for the 2020/21 season.
“I think it is realistic to think we can keep them,” he told the club’s YouTube channel.
“Contrary to what I sometimes read, I often hear from these guys that they are very happy with us and think that we have a strong team that can perform well next season.
“The preliminary rounds of the Champions League, for example, are also a new challenge for them.”
