Hearts of Oak defender Baba Adamu has expressed strong confidence in the team’s readiness ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League clash with Young Apostles, insisting the Phobians are fully prepared to return to winning ways.
The Accra-based giants head into the fixture under pressure after going five matches without a victory, a run that has raised concerns among supporters.
Reflecting on their previous game against Swedru All Blacks, Adamu admitted the team fell short of expectations but was relieved to avoid defeat.
“It wasn’t that good, but it’s all part of the game. At the end, we could have lost, but at least we got a point at home,” he told Hearts TV.
Despite the recent struggles, the defender remains optimistic about the team’s chances in their next outing, emphasizing the squad’s preparation and determination.
“We are always ready for every game. The team is well-prepared for this one,” Adamu said. “The fans play a very important role because without them it becomes more difficult. I urge them to keep supporting us, and I believe everything will go well.”
The Week 28 encounter between Hearts of Oak and Young Apostles is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, April 5, with kickoff set for 3:00 pm.
