Ghanaian defender, Alexander Djiku has picked up a fresh injury in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday afternoon away at OGC Nice.
The Ghanaian international was as solid at the back as usual for the Blue and Whites outfit in their tough encounter against a tough opponent.
Despite falling behind to a first half Andy Delort goal, Kevin Gameiro scored the equalizer for the away team in the second half of the match to restore parity.
With 15 minutes to the end of the match, Djiku was substituted and replaced by Lucas Perrin as he went off due to injury he picked up around his thigh.
The game ended 1-1 with Djiku’s team picking their first point of the season after losing to AS Monaco at home in their season opener at home.
The extent of his injury is unknown as he was able to walk off the pitch without the help of a stretcher.
