Bofoakwa Tano coach Mohammed Ibrahim has alleged that fans of Berekum Arsenal threatened to kill his players before the crucial Week 30 game between the two teams in the Division One League Zone One.
The game played at the Golden City Park in Berekum ended 0-0
“They were bent on seeing Real Tamale United’s qualification ahead of Bofoakwa Tano so much that they threatened to kill my boys. Berekum Arsenal just decided to make life difficult for us last Sunday. The threat affected us negatively on the field of play”, he alleged on Sun City Radio in Sunyani.
Real Tamale United and Bofoakwa Tano finished the season on 65 points each but RTU topped the Zone One Table on the head to head rule to qualify for the Premier League.
