Berekum Chelsea midfielder Abu Mohammed Ushau won the Man of the Match award after his incredible performance in the Blues’ 0-0 stalemate against giants Accra Hearts of Oak on Saturday at the Golden City Park.
Berekum Chelsea clashed with Accra Hearts of Oak in matchday 10 of the Ghana Premier League as the game produced no goal after regulation time.
Ushau was a top performer with great passes and ball distribution in midfield in the crucial game and helped his side to pick a point.
The two teams played out a boring game on a ‘Potato Pitch’ with few chances created by both teams during the game.
Both teams had a lot of set-pieces but they were unable to utilize the opportunities that came their way.
Hearts of Oak could have stolen all three points on the day at the very end of the game when the hosts goalkeeper parried Ansah Botchwey’s shot but Ivorian player Eric Dizan failed to score on the rebound.
The match lacked entertainment and was not a solid performance from both teams as they settled for a point each at the end of the match.
Hearts of Oak will play their ‘Noisy Neighbors’ Accra Great Olympics next at the Accra Sports Stadium next week and Chelsea will travel to King Faisal in Techiman on next week Sunday.
Hearts of Oak lie 2nd after picking a point on the road with 16 points from ten matches.
Chelsea on the other hand occupies 12th position on the league table after they secured a point from the game against Hearts on Saturday afternoon.
