Berekum Chelsea captain, Stephen Amankona has revealed his ambitions for the top goal king race in the premier league.
Currently on 9 goals and the top scorer of his side, he is currently 7 goals behind the top scorer in the league Diawusie Taylor. The 21-year-old midfielder has been a pillar in the set-up of the former Premier League champions.
In an interview with TV3 sports teams, the playmaker was optimistic he can challenge for the goal king race “ the one leading the goal king race has 14 goals and I also have 9 goals is not too late I am also challenging him to it and I know God will intervene on my behalf”
The midfield enforcer also idolized Brazilian superstar as his favourite player “I watch football a lot my favourite player is Neymar, he is the one I watch and play like as a result a lot of people call me Neymar so I decided to take the name. I follow Neymar and have lots of his videos on my phone I watch and learn from.” Stephen Amakona further stated.
Sitting 10th on the league log, Berekum Chelsea next play away to Bechem United in week 29 of the Ghana Premier League.
