Black Stars midfielder, Bernard Mensah’s first game for Turkish giant Besiktas ended in a 3-1 loss to Greek powerhouse PAOK Thessaloniki.
The Ghana International joined the Black and Whites from Kayserispor days ago and featured in the Champions League qualifying stages for the first time for the club.
Mensah saw 70 minutes of action and was subbed off when his team was trailing by two goals after going into the first half 3-1 down.
The Turkish Super Lig side could not turn things around in the second half as the exited the UEFA Champions League competition with a devastating 3-1 loss to PAOK.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder scored five goals with eight assists for Kayserispor last season leading to his move on loan to Besiktas.
