Ghanaian forward Bernard Morrison has turned down a move to Chippa United from Orlando Pirates.
Chippa last week announced the duo had been signed from Pirates along with midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni.
According to a Kickoff.com source, Morrison has also resisted the switch to Port Elizabeth amid overseas interest in the Ghanaian attacker.
“Morrison has not signed with Chippa United. The news that he has signed for Chippa is not true,” the source mentioned.
“Morrison went to collect his passport from Pirates offices’ last week before the news of Chippa United, and I believe there is an overseas move on the cards.”
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old has seemingly departed the club after posting a farewell message on his Instagram account, in which he also slates The Chilli Boys’ announcement that he will be joining them.
