Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey has capped off an impressive season with Ludogorets by clinching the Bulgarian Cup, completing a domestic double after the club’s league triumph.

The 27-year-old, recently back from a long injury layoff, was included in the squad for the final against CSKA Sofia. Although he didn’t feature in the match, Tekpetey watched from the bench as Caio Vidal scored the decisive goal to hand Ludogorets their fourth Bulgarian Cup title.

This latest success marks Tekpetey’s third consecutive Bulgarian Cup win and adds to an already illustrious spell with Ludogorets. Since joining the club, the former Schalke 04 winger has collected nine major trophies, including five league championships, cementing his status as one of the most decorated Ghanaian players currently active in Europe.

Also on the pitch was Swiss-born Ghanaian striker Kwadwo Duah, who played 85 minutes and nearly added a second goal before being substituted late in the game.

Tekpetey is expected to return to Ghana for the off-season before rejoining Ludogorets for pre-season preparations in July. Although there has been interest from Eredivisie clubs in the past, a recent injury setback has temporarily stalled any potential move away from Bulgaria.
