Ghana international Bernard Tekpetey has disclosed his plans for the next two years as he aims to take his football career to the next level. However, the promising attack intends to make a move to Saudi League should his dream transfer to the England fail materialise.
The 27-year-old has been one of Ghana’s best-performing players abroad in recent times. Since moving to Bulgaria in 2020, Tekpetey has scored 41 goals and provided 35 assists across all competitions.
He has also consistently delivered strong performances for Ludogorets Razgrad in European competitions.
Although the former Schalke 04 forward was not specific about which division he wants to play in England, it is believed the Premier League is his target.
When asked about his plans for the next five years, Tekpetey told Asempa FM as quoted by Ghansoccernet.com, “Five years is too long. I am believing in God that in the next two years, I want to be in England, if God permits.”
While aiming for the best league in the world, the Black Stars attacker has a plan B. “If it doesn’t happen, I want to go to Saudi Arabia,” he said.
When asked if he is considering a move to Saudi Arabia for the money, he responded, “The money is very necessary.”
