Ghana and Beşiktaş midfielder Bernard Mensah has revealed he is fine after testing positive for coronavirus.
Beşiktaş confirmed on Wednesday that the Ghanaian international has contracted the virus after the Black Stars international friendlies played in Antalya against Mali and Qatar.
“On the return of our football player Bernard Mensah to the Ghana National Team camp where he was invited, the routine Covid-19 PCR test applied by our club was positive,” the club’s official statement reads.
“Bernard Mensah’s follow-up and treatment process started in accordance with the relevant protocols.”
The 25-year-old has taken to Twitter to give an update of his situation, saying is he is fine.

Mensah was a member of the Black Stars team that lost 3-0 to Mali in an international friendly last Friday.
He was an unused substitute in Ghana’s 5-1 win over Qatar three days later.
He has been quarantined by his club medical team in Turkey.
He becomes a second member of the Black Stars team to test positive for COVID-19 after Jones Abu Alhassan.
