Ghanaian international striker, Kwabena Owusu featured in his team’s victory over Legia Warszawa on Thursday evening.
The Ghana U-23 star man was the tormentor in chief for the Azerbaijani giants as they won on the road to book their Europa League group stage spot.
Five minutes into the second half after a goalless first 45 minutes, Owusu received the ball on the left flank of the opposition half and used outer foot to set up Patrick Andrade to give the visitors the lead on the 50th-minute mark.
Abdellah Zoubir doubled the away team’s advantage 12 minutes later with an incredible individual goal to make it 2-0.
20 minutes from full time, Andrade turned provider when he set up Filip Ozobić to bang the third goal for the Azerbaijani side to make it 3-0.
Owusu played 85 minutes for his team as they made their way through to the European second-tier club competition.
