Ghana’s forward Kwabena Owusu made a substitute appearance for the first time in UEFA Champions League for Azerbaijani side Qarabag FK on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old predator finisher played 17 minutes for Qarabag FK as they walloped North Macedonia side FK Sileks by 4-0 at home.

Owusu joined Qarabag from Spanish team Cordoba and has made five appearances for the Azerbaijani giants.

The Ghana International forward was Ghana’s hitman at the 2019 CAF U-23 tournament which was held in Egypt where Ghana failed to book a place in next year’s Olympics in Tokyo.

Qarabag’s 4-0 drubbing of Sileks gives them a huge advantage to advance to the next level of the qualifying rounds with hopes of making it into the group stage of UEFA’s elite competition.
