Ghana’s Black Meteors attacker Samuel Obeng Gyabaa scored in the Spanish La Liga 2 opening day of matches for Real Oviedo at home on Sunday evening.
The Ghanaian forward scored his first goal of the season in the first match for his team as they threw away a comfortable two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home against CD Lugo.
Víctor Álvarez Rozada, commonly known as Viti, grabbed the game’s opening goal on the half hour mark to make the score 1-0 in the home team’s favour.
Three minutes later after Oviedo had taken a deserving lead, Obeng headed home his first goal of the season to make it 2-0 to the hosts after 33 minutes following a cross from Borja Sánchez who swung in a pinpoint cross from the a corner kick.
Twelve minutes to end preceding, Jose Angel Corrilla 78th minute goal and Joselu’s 90th minute mark penalty was enough to snatch a point from Oviedo at the very end of the match.
The 24-year-old versatile Ghanaian forward played full throttle for his team and has a goal to open his goal account and the second tier league of Spain on a high.
