The chairman of the Black Princesses management committee has expressed satisfaction at the support the team has received so far from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ghana Football Association (GFA) ahead of the 2016 world cup in Papua New Guinea
“Lack of money” has been the anthem from the Ministry in recent months but the Princesses seem to have been well treated by the overseer body of sports in the country
Nana Benyin Eyison, the head of the Princesses management committee has expressed satisfaction at what they have enjoyed so far from the ministry. In an interview with Nhyira FM he averred that “Preparations has been good so far. Right after qualification, having in mind the 40% slashing of the sports budget, we sought the permission of the Ministry to bring on board sponsors. With the help of the Ministry we got some funds for camping. All that is left for the Ministry is to cater for our training tour in Austria. We met him few days ago and he assured us of some monies for our camping in Austria”.
Nana Benyin further disclosed that the ladies will leave the shores of Ghana for Austria today via Emirate Airline. According to him the coach is impressed with the team and looking forward to a great tournament.
The Black Princesses will open their campaign against New Zealand on November 14 before meeting powerhouse United States and France.
