The Black Queens of Ghana have beaten Cote d’ Ivoire to win the 2018 WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations.
Janet Egyire’s 2nd minute strike was all that Mercy Tagoe’s side needed to win their maiden WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations title at the expense of the host nation.
The Queens had lost 1-0 to the same side (Cote d’ Ivoire) in the opening game of the competition, bu bounced back to record victories over Niger, Burkina Faso and Nigeria to reach the finals.
