Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has embarked on a scouting mission in Malta as part of efforts to strengthen the national women’s team ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
During his visit, the coach held meetings with four Ghanaian players currently featuring in the Maltese League. The players are Mariama Kassim, Naila Adoma Addo, Salamatu Abdulai, and Selina Animah.
The Malta trip forms part of Björkegren’s wider European scouting tour, aimed at identifying new talents and assessing players who could add depth and quality to the Black Queens squad as preparations begin for the 2026 WAFCON.
