Ghana’s female senior National team [Black Queens] were only paid their Per Diem when the team arrived back home from the African Women Nations Cup hosted by Cameroun sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The Black Queens arrived in the country on Tuesday afternoon from Cameroun.
Coach Yusif Basiigi’s side beat South Africa by a goal to nothing to clinch the third spot position in the 10th edition of the African Women Nations Cup after losing 1-0 to host Cameroun in their semi-final match.
The team had already targeted a total amount of $13000 upon arrival in Ghana from the sports ministry only to be paid a paltry $2000 as their per diem fee for twenty [20] days.
Sportsworldghana.com understands the ladies together with the technical team and other officials were paid $100 each in Cameroun before an extra $1000 was added Tuesday afternoon when the team arrived in the country by the sports Ministry claiming they will be sorted out after the December 7 general polls.
The Queens have also not been paid their qualification 2015 All African Games qualification bonus despite winning Gold at the tourney held in Congo Brazzaville.
