Deputy Sports minister Pius Enam Hadzide has revealed that each player of the black starlets will receive 5,000 dollars if the team wins the Africa under 17 championships.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin’s on Friday left Accra for Gabon to acclimatize ahead of the two week long tournament, which begins on may 14.
The starlets will be based in Franceville alongside side group A opponents Gabon, Cameroun and Guinea.
The sports ministry is yet to disclose the winning bonuses and per deim to be paid to the players, as government is still resolving the payment structure. Pius Enam Hadzide insists government is working hard in meeting the demands of the team.
“We anticipate that the team will play five games and by winning five games they would have won the cup”
“So at the end of that we expect that each player will take home a gratitude or a bonus of $5,000 and there is a special package too if they bring the title home”he told reporters.
