Ghana captain Jordan Ayew says the Black Stars are focused on delivering strong performances in their upcoming friendlies against Austria and Germany.
Ghana will face Austria on Friday at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, before travelling to Stuttgart to take on four-time world champions Germany on Monday.
The two matches form part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 World Cup, where they will face Panama, Croatia and England in the group stage.
Speaking ahead of the fixtures, Ayew stressed that every game remains important, while acknowledging the significance of the two encounters.
“Every game is important. Even though we know these two games are really important, previously the other games were important as well. But sometimes, it is what it is,” he said.
Ghana will take on Austria on Friday before facing Germany on Monday, March 30.
“Tomorrow is going to be a tough game, and Monday will be a tough game, so we’ll do our best,” Ayew added.
The forward also pointed to the team’s preparation as a positive sign ahead of the matches.
“We are preparing really well tactically, technically and physically. We’re looking good, so let’s see what happens,” he noted.
