Ghana’s senior national team -Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor has agreed to take a 40% pay cut, 442GH.com reports.
The former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko coach was appointed as the head coach for the Ghana senior national team in January this year, replacing his former boss James Kwesi Appiah.
Having signed a contract that sees him pocketing $25,000 at the end of every month, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has managed to negotiate for CK Akonnor to take a pay cut as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The portal states that Coach Akonnor has agreed to the pay cut.
The 45-year old gaffer, last week Friday announced a 23-man squad for Next month’s friendly against Mali in Turkey.
