Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has apologized to FIFA for his ‘rude’ comments about the referee for Ghana’s game against Portgual.

Ghana lost 3-2 to Portugal and Otto Addo was livid about a controversial penalty that was awarded to the Portuguese.

During a press conference held on Sunday, Otto Addo apologised for the earlier comments.

“Up to this point we didn’t get any answer from FIFA and maybe I can use this stage now to apologize. It was a little bit rude but I was very emotional after the match. Hopefully I won’t get a fine,” he said.

Ghana will face South Korea at 13:00 GMT on Monday.
