Black Stars deputy captain Richard Ofori says he’s not really concerned about social media criticism about his performance and the senior national team in general.
This comes after the Stars were roasted on various social media platforms due to the poor performance they exhibited in last Friday’s game against Ethiopia in Cape Coast.
Ahead of today’s clash with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, Ofori stated that he doesn’t get affected by social media comments because he hardly read from such platforms.
‘In the first place, I don’t read those things though. I don’t go on social media or Twitter to read those things. I haven’t seen something about me before”, he said
‘”I haven’t seen something about me before. But definitely we are in a country that expects more from us so wearing this jersey means a lot because the people expects more”, Ofori added.
Ghana will take on South Africa today at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg in their second FIFA World Cup qualifiers for Qatar 2022 tournament.
Kickoff is 4pm Ghana time.
