Ghana’s Black Stars have moved backward in the lastest FIFA Coca Cola ranking for the month of September.
The four-time African Champions are currently ranked 53rd position on the FIFA ranking which means they have slipped by a place.
In Africa, Ghana sit 7th, behind Senegal who are 1st in Africa and 20th in the world, followed by Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria and Egypt.
Meanwhile, there are few changes at the top. Belgium and Brazil retain their position as 1st and 2nd placed sides. England move to 3rd place, displacing France who are now 4th. Italy, Argentina, Portugal, and Spain occupy 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th position respectively.
Ghana will resume the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in October against Zimbabwe.
The West African powerhouse after two games sit second in Group G with 3 points after beating Ethiopia 1-0 and losing by similar scoreline to South Africa.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 21 October 2021.
