Chairman of the Black Stars management committee, George Afriyie has said the Black Stars management Committee chairmanship position isn’t exclusive to him and that he’s ever ready to leave when it become prudent for him to say goodbye.
Incumbent sports minister Isaac Kwame Asiamah is reported to have on Tuesday called for the removal of the FA’S vice president from the role to guarantee the independence of the Management Committee of the Black Stars team.
But according George Afriyie, once he took over from somebody, leaving the post for a different person wouldn’t be problematic at all since there are other equally competent people who can succeed him.
“I am ready to leave the Black Stars management Committee chairman post, it’ not exclusive to me, I started serving at the GFA in 2006 as a member of the Division One league board, a member of the black meteors management committee with Randy Abbey as chairman, rose to become the chairman of the Chan team, chairman of the black satellites, the juvenile committee chairman and now Black Stars management committee chairman.
‘’ It’s not my bonafide property, Position is not possession. It’s not for my father nor mother’s lineage. “George Afriyie said speaking on Kumasi based Oyerepa FM.
