Former Black Stars psychologist Dr. Patrick Ofori has urged the Ghana Football Association to reinforce the national team’s technical staff ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Following Ghana’s successful qualification for the tournament co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico, Dr. Ofori emphasized the need for more specialized personnel. He highlighted the importance of analysts who study opponents’ defenders, their behaviors, patterns, and concentration levels.
The Black Stars, drawn in Group L, will open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto, face England in Boston, and conclude the group stage against Croatia on June 27 in Philadelphia.
After exiting at the group stage in both Brazil 2014 and Qatar 2022, Ghana aims to make a stronger impact in this year’s tournament.
