Ghanaian teenager Kwame Poku Afriyie Adubofour will be coached by Hayden Mullins at Colchester United for the rest of the season.
The Essex-based club fired Wayne Brown on Wednesday morning and have handed the job to the former Watford interim manager as they seek for survival in League 2.
Poku who was the club’s best young player last year and was also nominated for the player of the season is set to play a key role under Mullings with just eight games to the end of the season.
The 19-year-old central midfielder has played 31 games for Colchester this season as they lie 21st on the league log with 39 points from 38 games.
