Ghanaian winger Tariqe Fosu played in England Championship side Brentford City FC’s first competitive match of the 2020-21 season on Sunday afternoon.
The diminutive Ghanaian winger was on the starting eleven of the BEES in their 1-1 stalemate with fellow Championship side Wycombe Wanderers who gained promotion into the English second tier through the League One Playoffs.
The host scored first at their new stadium ‘MIDDLESEX’ from a set piece which was nicely headed home by defender Ethan Pinnock after 32 minutes to send the host ahead heading into the first half break.
14 minutes away from the final whistle, Daryl Horgan equalised for the visitors to send the game into the penalty shootouts after a great football display by both teams.
Fosu was subbed off right after Brentford conceded the equalizer and was replaced by Marcus Fords.
Brentford progressed to the next stage of the competition after winning 3-2 on penalties.
