Former Ghana international Augustine Arhinful has said the Ghana head coach Avram Grant should be held responsible for the Black Stars abysmal performance against Egypt in Sunday’s World Cup qualifiers in Alexandria.
The former Borrusia Dortmund forward believes the former Chelsea boss should embrace all criticisms from all and sundry for the Black Stars poor performance recently which has seen the team go on five matches streak.
The former Ghanaian international in an interview with Kumasi based Silver FM said.
”He (Avram Grant) is the head coach of the team and has been in charge of the games being played by his charges. So, if he has performed poorly in those games, definitely he should be the one to be blamed and must he be held responsible for such woeful results as well,”
Arhinful added ”Now that the game against Egypt has come to an end, I think he should be question as to what went wrong,” he added.
Ghana will host 4th placed Congo on August 28 in the third round of the qualifiers, before travelling to Congo to face them a week later.
