Ghanaian striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom scored the leveller clinch a point for Red Star Belgrade in their 1-1 draw with Partizan Belgrade in the Serbian Superliga ‘The Eternal Derby’ on Sunday evening.
Partizan took the lead on the 33rd minute courtesy Ricardo Gomes before the Ghanaian scored a header on the 73rd mark to deny them victory on the night.
Goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic thought he had saved the ball but the assistant referee whistled that the ball had crossed the goal line and that it was a perfect goal.
The goal marks Boakye’s third two in two appearances since rejoining the Serbian giants in the Summer transfer Deadline day from Chinese side Jiangsu Suning.
