Black Stars striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was again on the scoring sheet when he struck from the spot to hand Red Star Belgrade a 1-0 win over Sp. Subotica on Wednesday evening in the Serbian Superliga.
The 24-year-old stood forward to convert a penalty for his side in the 22nd minute as they secured a narrow win.
Boakye had earlier missed Red Star’s weekend game due to injury but made a return to score the only goal in the game for his side.
The goal marked his 5th league goal of the season.
The Ghanaian international scored his 29th goal for Red Star Belgrade, becoming the top scoring foreigner in club history in 9 months.
Yiadom, has now scored over 33 goals within the 2017 calendar year.
His country man Abraham Akwasi Frimpong was an unused substitute in the game.
