Ghanaian midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng says he is proud of his new teammates after Sassuolo defeated Inter Milan 1-0 in their opening serie A game on Sunday.
Domenico Berardi converted a penalty to ensure Sassuolo defeated Kwadwo Asamoah’s Inter Milan by a goal to nil in the crunch clash.
The former AC Milan star who lasted 84 minutes in the game, has expressed satisfaction about the outcome of the game.
He was replaced by Khouma Babacar in the 84th minute.
He posted,” Daiiiiii!!! #forzasasolproud of my team and so happy to be back.”
Meanwhile, compatriot Alfred Duncan lasted the entire duration and hugely impressed against his former employers.
Another Ghanaian who played in the fixture was Kwadwo Asamoah. He played 90 minutes but could not help the Nerazzuris to victory on his competitive debut.
Kevin Prince Boateng and Alfred Duncan will travel with their Sassuolo teammates to Cagliari for their second game of the season.
Boateng, joined Sassuolo in the summer from German side Frankfurt.
