Bofoakwa Tano striker Welbeck Opoku Takyi says he hoping to score 20 goals in the 2020/21 National Division One League.
The budding striker has been in top form for the Sunyani-based club in this season’s Division One League – Zone One.
Takyi has so far bagged 11 goals in 16 games, topping the goal scorers chat in Division One League – Zone One.
His outstanding form earned him a spot in the Black Stars preliminary squad for the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome but failed to make the cut for the final squad that played the two matches.
Speaking on Ark FM’s Sports Center, Welbeck Takyi stated that the players of Bofoakwa Tano are determined to make history by qualifying the team to the Ghana Premier League next season.
He, therefore, called on the teaming supporters to continuously give them the necessary support to aid their qualification.
Bofoakwa Tano F.C has been in the Division One League for the past 14 years after being relegated from the Ghanaian top-flight league during the 2006/07 league season.
”I want to score 20 goals at the end of the season to make a new record,” said Welbeck Takyi.
Bofoakwa Tano are now second on the league log in Zone One with 31 points after playing16 matches.
