Ghana female international Sarah Bonney admits she found the transition from Ghana to America a difficult one but insists it will only make her a better player as she prepares for the new campaign.
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) women’s soccer team player scored Eleven Goals and assisted 4 times but promise to be better next season.
“The starting was slow for me probably because I hadn’t fully adjusted to the system here, Getting used to team- mates and new tactics, it’s a different way of playing but at the later part everything was working well for me, The left-footed winger told Sportsworldghana.com.
“Things were moving on Well after a couple of games and I was scoring some goals but I think the highs and lows of last season will certainly make me a better player. This is a new season and I promise to be better than last season. Sarah Added.
Bonney ended the season setting single-season records for points (26), points per match (1.44), goals (11), goals per match (0.61), game- winning goals (4) and shots on goal (30) while tying record for assists (4) as well as winning a couple of awards.
