Bournemouth target £50million-rated Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah as Dominic Solanke replacement

English Premier League side Bournemouth are interested in a move for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according talkSPORT.

Nketiah has been made available to Premier League clubs after Marseille pulled out of the running to sign him.

As reported earlier today, Bournemouth have had an initial offer for Porto’s Brazilian striker Evanilson rejected as they search for a Dominic Solanke replacement.

Solanke completed a club-record move to Tottenham over the weekend in a deal that could rise to £65million.

Having scored 19 times for the Cherries last term, Solanke’s exit has left a big whole at the Vitality Stadium.

As a result, Bournemouth are looking for a prolific striker to lead their line this term.

Nketiah is facing an uncertain future in north London after falling down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.

The 25-year-old is a product of Arsenal’s academy and has proven himself as a first team player, making 168 appearances for the club.

Despite struggling to make himself a first team regular, the 25-year-old has scored 38 times for the Gunners, including 19 in the Premier League.

According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, Arsenal are looking for a fee in the region of £50million to sell the striker who is also being chased by French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille in the ongoing transfer window.

Nketiah made his Arsenal debut in a 2017 September Europa League game and scored his first goal for the club a month later. He has also spent time on loan at Leeds, though his career highlights include scored twice for Arsenal in a 3-2 win against Man United in 2023.
