Highly-rated youngster, Evans Etti has completed a move to Chinese outfi Heilongjiang Ice City from Accra Lions, the club have confirmed.
The forward seals the transfer on the back of a very good campaign in Ghana’s 2020/21 Division One League with Accra Lions, where he was directly involved in 20 goals in Zone Three, as his side gained promotion into the Ghana Premier League.
However, the forward will not be engaged in the top-flight for Accra Lions, as he joins Heilongjiang Ice City with immediate effect.
A post on the club’s official Facebook page read: Evans Etti joined China League One outfit Heilongjiang Ice City FC with immediate effect. The offensive allrounder had a large share in our success in the 2020/2021 season with 10 goals and 10 assists for the Division One League Zone Three Champions. Accra Lions Manager Ishmael Hamidu says: “Etti’s move to China is yet another proof that Accra Lions became a globally recognized brand. Nine players left us for Europe and four players to Asia in recent years. We can proudly say that every player who performs well for Accra Lions gains worldwide recognition. We wish him all the best and every success in his future career.”
Etti is expected to play straight away for his new club, who are currently eighth on the China League 1 table.
