Ghanaian forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom has arrived safely in Israel to meet his new employers for the first time since he joined as free agent, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
After receiving all the permits and complying with the regulations for entry into the country, Yiadom landed in Israel this morning (Monday), in order to join the Betar Jerusalem staff .
The Ghanaian international played for Gornik Zabrze last season in the Poland Ekstraklasa but left the club after failing to impress and ending the season without a single goal.
The Yellow and Blacks in Jerusalem, Beitar signed the former Atalanta player on an initial one-year deal with option to make it two years at the end of the season.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions in Israel, though the deal was done long ago but the Black Stars striker was not permitted to travel to the European country.
Today, Boakye has arrived in Israel to join his colleagues to train ahead of his debut in the Israeli Ligat HaAl.
