Black Stars held Nigeria to a 1-1 stalemate in Abuja on Tuesday evening to book a place in the next FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar later this year.
The Stars came under severe pressure but held their grounds to draw 1-1 and qualify on the away goal rule.
Thomas Partey scored from a long range he was set up by Gideon Mensah early in the first half to give Ghana the lead.
The pressure was unbearable and finally paid off when Nigeria got a spot kick VAR.
The first half ended 1-1 despite the pressure from Nigeria.
Nigeria pushed and pushed in the second half but couldn’t break Ghana down as the four-time champions make it to Qatar.
