Ghanaian midfielder Rahman Yusib Chibash has joined Germain 2 Bundesliga side VfL Bochum 1848 on a two-year deal in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old joins the Castroper Straße lads as free agent after mutually parting ways with Turkish Süper Lig club Gaziantep FK.
Last season, the talented midfielder made 24 appearances in the Turkish Süper Lig for Gaziantep FK.
Speaking on the Ghanaian international’s capture, VfL Bochum Managing Director / Sport Sebastian Schindzielorz said “In Raman Chibsah we are gaining a midfielder who is mainly in the head office, who is also a sure-footed player and strong in tackling,”.
“He has international experience, is dynamic and, due to his past, in Italy had good tactical training.
”Raman Chibsah himself is “very, very happy that I was able to join VfL Bochum. The people in charge have convinced me of VfL. Now I want to get to know my new teammates as soon as possible.” he added.
Chibsah moved to Italy at age 16 to join Serie A side US Sassuolo Calcio from Ghanaian club Bechem United and later went through the U19 at Juventus Turin.
He then returned to Sassuolo after loan spell with FC Parma, and was in 2013 promoted to Serie A for the first time with the US Sassuolo.
He has also previously played for Benevento Calcio and Frosinone Calcio.
