Kumasi Asante Kotoko deputy Coach Michael Osei has been fired by the club, sportsworldghana.com can authoritatively confirm.
The former Kotoko offensive midfielder was in charge of the club after the exit of then head coach David Duncan until he was recently asked to take his usual role in the club as assistant coach following the appointment of Croatian trainer Zdravko Logarusic.
Sources say Osei was called into a meeting with three management team members at the club secretariat around 10am Monday where the decision to call an end to his time with the Ghanaian giants was communicated.
Present at the meeting were the club’s legal advisor Lawyer Yaw Boafo, Accra Representative Thomas Boakye Agyeman and Rose Padmore Yeboah, the new Kotoko administrator.
But Speaking exclusively to sportsworldghana.com via phone call Michael said ”Yes it is true that I am leaving Kotoko,because according to management Zdravko Logarusic says he can’t work with me again.”
