Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora and Turkish-based defender Joseph Attamah Laweh, have contracted the fearsome virus ahead of Ghana’s 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers return fixture against Sudan on Tuesday.
The Black Stars departs Accra on Sunday, November 15, for Khartoum for the return leg of their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan without the Asante Kotoko goalkeeper and the Kayserispor defender due to covid-19.
Abalorah’s absence forced coach Akonnor to invite Legon Cities goalkeeper Fatau Dauda to replace Richard Ofori who will miss the game due to suspension.
Meanwhile, two other officials of the Black Stars team are reported to have also tested positive for the Covid-19.
