Brighton & Hove Albion manager Graham Potter is hoping that Tariq Lamptey will be called to the English Under 21 team for next months qualifiers.
Potter stressed discussions are ongoing between the player, the English Under 21 manager as well as the medical staff and he could feature in October for the Junior Three Lions.
‘I think it is something we have to be happy with because it means he is back playing, and he is fit,’ Potter said. ‘It is a conversation between Tariq, Lee and the medical guys.
Potter further mentioned that the English player of Ghanaian descent is a lovely person which everyone wants to succeed in his career.
‘We are always a club that supports international football and players playing for their countries, so we would be delighted with that.’
