Former Black Stars head coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor, has named Cudjoe Fianoo as the best football administrator he has worked with during his time as a coach.
Akonnor has named his top Ghanaian football administrator after managing the senior national team and five different clubs in the nation.
Between 2014 and 2017, the 48-year-old was closely associated with Kurt Okraku, who was the President of Dreams FC, before moving to Obuasi to serve as the head coach of AshantiGold for a season.
In an interview with Asempa FM, the former Black Stars captain named Fianoo as the best.
“I would never forget. I would say this. He [Mr. Fianoo] is the only administrator I have worked with and seen who gives you the free hands to work. It felt like the team was mine. I managed everything including even matchday activities. He made me really feel responsible,” he said.
“Mr. Fianoo gave the team to me. He only called when it was necessary to speak to me. Sometimes when I was going overboard he would call me and draw my attention. I was in control of the team.”
The 48-year-old left AshantiGold to join Asante Kotoko in 2018 after saving the club from relegation.
