President of newly-promoted La Liga side side Cadiz CF, Quique Pina is ready to swoop for Strasbourg central defender Alexander Djiku.
The boss of the “yellow submarine” hinted that the Strasbourg defender is one of the players he has monitored in the Ligue 1 and he is ready to bring him to Spain this summer.
“I am trying to bring in Alexander Djiku, it’s a file I’m still working on. There is also Ibrahim Sangaré, Samuel Grandsir … I am talking about players who have the possibility of coming on loan, because these are players that cannot be bought.”Pina told France football.
“If the clubs are smart they can understand that a loan of a year or two in Spain can be good for them, and for the player. All the players I have contacted from France have never said no to Spanish football. I think the French players look favorable in Spanish football. All the factors make it easy for us to attract them. ” He added.
Djiku who was born to a Ghanaian father and French mother in Montpellier has been a revelation in the Strassbourg team since his summer 2019 move from Caen.
He made 33 appearances in all competitions this ended season scoring one goal and providing one assist.
