Aduana Stars suffered their second defeat in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup when they loss 2-0 to Congolese side AS Vita Club on Sunday afternoon in Kinshasa.
Striker Jean-Marc Makusu Mundele scored twice in the crucial clash to ensure his team clinched all important three points.
Jean-Marc Makusu shot his side in front in the 14th minute before wrapping up his brace of the day in the 78th minute.
Aduana Stars best chance to pull parity in the 58th minute fell on Bright Adjei through a corner kick but AS Vita goalkeeper Lukong Nelson prevented the ball from entering the net.
Though goalkeeper Joseph Addo was not on top form after being accused of conceding cheap goals, he however pulled a wonderful save in the 53rd minute to deny the Ghanaian side from conceding another goal having denied them a similar scoring chance in the 45th mark.
AS Vita could have put three goals in Aduana Stars net but again thanks to Addo who made a superb save on stoppage time to rescue Kenichi’s side from losing by three goals to nothing.
